 3 VIEWS OF THE COMPLEX

This image depicts a birds eye view of the complex including the sweeping roadway in order to be able to hear, see and experience the custom made bikes of Revival Cycles.

An view looking into the interior of the building depicting the archway as well as the restaurant at which Heston is to serve his food to wealthy paying customers.

This view is looking up from the ramp entrance depicting the "hovering like" ring that allows access from one side of the building to the other. Furthermore, the crossing on the middle floor allows for people to be able to look and peer into the workshop below, giving them a sense of the manpower an passion required to build a custom motorcycle.

Original Picture

This is an ongoing exhibition at the Contemporary Museum of Art in Circular Quay. This exhibition consisted of a desk fan which had been attached to the ceiling. On one of the fan blades, there is a glowing reflective strip. As the fan spins, it causes the strip for spin into a double helix. Since there is a spotlight on the ground, directly under the contraption, it causes there to be a mesmerising display of light.

Great Piece of Architecture

The Interior of the Pantheon

I studied the Pantheon in the previous year in Architectural History and Theory. I found it striking that the architect and his workforce was able to make such a remarkable dome in 126AD without the aid of many modern construction equipment. The dome is still the worlds largest non-reinforced continuously cast dome without any seams.  Additionally the oculus in the middle allows natural light through at anytime of the day, and since there is no glass covering, rain also falls through the oculus. An interesting feature was that the time of the day could also be seen as a light ring moves across the dome and creates stunning shadows against the recessed coffers.

Task Before First Class

Darling Harbour
This photo was taken last year during a  UNSW Photoclub excursion on Saturday night at Darling Harbour. Taking pictures of fireworks requires a stead hand as well as a tripod due to the long exposures necessary in order to get enough light for a picture to show through. This picture was my personal favourite out of a total of approximately 80 exposures that night and has been one of the greatest landscape pictures that I have shot. Long exposures of fireworks, any landscape of that matter are a luck based game whereby one photograph may look just average, but a further second longer exposure would have made it spectacular.
